Admissions
We enroll year-round — and we begin with fit.
LLS is a small, purposeful school. Admissions is less about gatekeeping than about a careful conversation: does this model serve your student, and is your family ready to partner with us?

Year-round enrollment
Students can join when they are ready.
LLS follows a year-round academic calendar organized in nine-week terms with two-week breaks. Because instruction is paced by term and delivered through in-person and live virtual teaching, students can enter at the start of any term rather than waiting for a single August intake.
Enrollment is open to Tennessee students in grades 7–12 in both in-person and fully virtual formats.
Family fit
What “family fit” means at LLS.
Our model asks more of students than a traditional school day: independent reading, professional conduct in public settings, and a willingness to speak, argue, and be challenged. It also asks families to be active partners in scheduling and communication.
The family conversation is where we talk honestly about those expectations — and where families ask us hard questions in return.
The path
Four steps from first question to first day.
- Step 1
Request information
Tell us about your student and what you are looking for. We reply by email with an overview and next steps.
- Step 2
Family conversation
A conversation with the Dean of Admissions to talk through the model, expectations, and fit.
- Step 3
Application & transcript review
Submit the application and prior records. We review transcripts to place students in the right track and courses.
- Step 4
Enrollment & onboarding
Confirm enrollment, receive learning-portal access, and meet the instructional team.
Student belonging
A community that recognizes growth.
LLS students are encouraged to develop character, academic discipline, civic responsibility, and confidence alongside their classmates.
